Alan Dunlea - President & CEO
As President and CEO of Symmetry since June of 2020, Alan oversees Symmetry’s operations and is instrumental in developing and driving the business’ vision and long-term growth strategy, blending his business and financial acumen to ensure strong, sustainable performance.
Alan has over 25 years of energy industry experience successfully building and leading sustainable business platforms recognized for their customer service, strong financial performance, robust governance, and responsible corporate citizenship.
Since 2006, Alan has served in executive leadership roles for businesses owned by ECP, a leading PE firm with ~$30B+ assets under management focused on energy transition and environmental infrastructure investments, including Wheelabrator Technologies, Equipower Resources, and FirstLight Power, in addition to prior leadership roles at Constellation Energy and Goldman Sachs. He began his career at PwC.
Alan received his Bcom from University College Cork in Ireland, and his Executive MBA in Finance from The Wharton School of Business.
John Williamson - Executive Vice President & CFO
John Williamson is an experienced financial executive with over 25 years of leadership experience in the energy sector. As Symmetry’s Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, John oversees the company's financial strategies and operations, as well as risk management and information technology.
In addition, John plays a key role in defining and driving Symmetry’s key strategic and forward planning initiatives.
Prior to joining Symmetry in 2020, John held multiple high-profile CFO and executive leadership roles at APG&E, Direct Energy Residential, and Direct Energy Business where he demonstrated his ability to navigate and deliver strong results in complex financial landscapes in the energy industry.
John received his MBA from York University’s Schulich School of Business in Toronto, and his BA in Economics from York University and is a CPA in Pennsylvania and a Chartered Accountant in Canada.
Donna Poresky - SVP, Corporate Affairs
Donna Poresky serves as Symmetry’s Senior Vice President of Corporate Affairs, leading the Human Resources and Marketing and Communications functions, and is responsible for handling the insurance and facilities needs of the business and guiding the company’s sustainability initiatives.
With over 25 years of experience managing complex legal, regulatory and organizational matters for energy businesses, Donna provides strategic guidance in helping Symmetry navigate change and operate efficiently and effectively across all functional areas.
Prior to joining Symmetry, Donna held executive leadership positions at several ECP portfolio companies, including General Counsel roles at EquiPower Resources and FirstLight Power. Prior to this Donna was a partner at Day, Berry & Howard where she advised energy industry clients on transactional, corporate and regulatory matters.
Donna joined Symmetry in June 2020 and holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of Connecticut School of Law and a BS from the University of Connecticut.
Stacy Williams - SVP, General Counsel
Stacy Williams joined Symmetry as Senior Vice President, General Counsel in June 2021. In this role, Stacy oversees the company’s legal, regulatory, and compliance operations.
With over three decades of energy-focused legal experience, including almost 20 years serving in outside counsel positions in addition to executive-level in-house roles, Stacy brings a combination of broad legal expertise and deep industry experience to Symmetry.
Prior to Symmetry, Stacy was V.P. U.S. Law, for T.C. Energy serving as the primary legal advisor for T.C. Energy’s U.S. natural gas executive team with responsibility for the U.S. natural gas business. Before T.C. Energy acquired Columbia Pipeline Group (“CPG”), Stacy held an executive-level position with CPG overseeing, among other things, the legal functions related to CPG’s huge portfolio of natural gas infrastructure projects. Stacy’s legal experience also includes serving as external counsel where he spent over 20 years at Locke Lord LLP, including 15 as a partner, working on various regulatory, compliance and high-visibility, complex cases in various state and federal courts, including the U.S. Supreme Court.
Stacy began his career as a Law Clerk to the Hon. Carolyn D. King of the United States Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit. He received a Juris Doctorate from the University of Houston and a BA from Texas Tech University.
Brian Harrison - SVP, Sales and Origination
Brian Harrison serves as Symmetry’s Senior Vice President, Sales and Origination, responsible for executing Symmetry’s vision across our sales channels and providing strategic guidance to the team, combining his passion for customer service with his technical and strategic acumen.
With over 20 years of experience leading strategic operations and sales within energy and financial services businesses, Brian has helped Symmetry enhance its position as one of the nation’s foremost natural gas solutions providers.
Under Brian’s leadership, Symmetry continues to develop innovative energy solutions for our customers and partners across the natural gas value chain, while fostering strong relationships with our customers.
Prior to joining Symmetry in December 2020, Brian held key leadership roles at Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), Constellation Energy, Credit Suisse and Castleton Commodities. Brian holds a BS in chemical engineering from MIT.
Jas Bertovic - SVP, Supply, Asset Management, and Optimization
Jasmin (Jas) Bertovic serves as Symmetry’s Senior Vice President, Supply, Asset Management, and Optimization. With over 25 years leading a variety of commercial and strategic roles in both natural gas and electricity, Jas is instrumental in supporting Symmetry’s natural gas supply and logistics operations, ensuring our customers have access to reliable natural gas and innovative energy solutions.
Jas’ career encompasses experience in energy marketing, portfolio optimization, strategic planning, commercial operations, risk management and regulatory affairs. He has successfully helped build and lead a number of successful energy marketing platforms.
Prior to joining Symmetry in 2023, Jas held multiple executive roles at TC Energy, establishing new trading and marketing platforms under both regulated and unregulated frameworks in the US and Canada. Jas holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Aerospace from Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada, and a MSc in Investment Management from Boston University.
